Author Beverly ND Clopton is pleased to unveil her new book, Surviving Pitfalls on the Path: A 40-Day Devotional for Everyday Believers, which released in September 2018 from WordCrafts Press.
“I was so excited when Surviving Pitfalls on the Path was released that I couldn’t wait to place an order for my own personal copies,” Clopton declared. “As soon as it was available I ordered paperback and hardcover copies, and an electronic version for my iPad. I had to have it in my hands, and gaze in wonder at what God inspired me to write. It is my hope that this 40-day devotional will enlighten and engage readers, so when they turn the final page, they will be empowered to continue their spiritual journey, strengthened by God’s Word.”
Surviving Pitfalls on the Path explores forty snares of the devil, or pitfalls, believers can expect to encounter as they travel the path to their ultimate destination – the Kingdom of Heaven. Divided into 40 short daily devotions, each chapter exposes the danger of a particular pitfall, and offers encouragement and support to help avoid the trap and its entanglements.
“I drew inspiration from both the Old and New Testaments to speak to the chapter’s pitfall,” Clopton explains. “And I continually point the reader back to the Bible as the ultimate source for overcoming every spiritual obstacle. As believers turn to their biblical guidebook for help, they come to understand this sacred word is their most powerful ally in defeating the enemy.”
“Beverly pulls from her spiritual trove of experiences and encounters with God as she offers survival strategies for believers who will face pitfalls on their spiritual journey,” declared Rev. Dr. Henry L. Masters, Sr, Publisher of By Faith Magazine and former United Methodist District Superintendent, North Texas Jurisdictional Conference. “Most appropriate are the survival teachings offered to readers in search of their heavenly treasure. Readers will also find the selected scriptures compelling and the reflection questions engaging.”
